Dwell time, throughput rate, and vessel queue depth at major freight hubs. When throughput drops significantly, affected supplier regions get a lead-time impact estimate attached to their SKUs.
Supplier financial health indicators
Publicly available signals of supplier financial stress: credit rating movements, news of layoffs or production cuts, trade publication reports. Layered against your Tier-1 and Tier-2 supplier map.
Weather and climate event feeds
Severe weather events near supplier manufacturing regions or major freight corridors: typhoons, flooding, extreme cold events. Each event is scored by its likely impact on your specific supplier geography.
Customs and trade-flow anomalies
Unusual changes in customs clearance times or trade-flow volume between key origin and destination pairs. Early indicator of broader logistics friction before it shows up in delivery delays.

How an alert reaches your planner
Signal detected and scored
Supplyverde picks up an external signal: port congestion rising in a key region. The signal is scored against your supplier map to identify which of your Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers are in the affected geography.
Lead-time impact estimated
Based on historical correlation between that signal type and actual lead-time shifts in that region, Supplyverde calculates a projected lead-time impact range (e.g., +9 to +16 days) and attaches it to the affected SKUs.
Alert delivered if threshold is crossed
If the risk score crosses your configured threshold, Supplyverde generates an alert. The alert lists the affected SKUs, the signal source, the estimated lead-time impact, and the revised reorder recommendation. Your planner sees it before the delay shows up in a supplier acknowledgment.
